Edenwald Welcomes Volunteers

High School Students

Nurse Making Notes During Home Visit With Senior Patient

There are many ways for you to become a part of the Edenwald community, from reading to playing games to leading a class. Two of our special volunteer programs are listed below, but there are many other opportunities for you to lend your energy and enthusiasm to our community. If you’d like to learn more about volunteer opportunities at Edenwald, please feel free to contact us.

Please review the Volunteer Application for Independent Living, and for Healthcare-oriented areas of the community.

VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

At Edenwald, we encourage anyone aged 15 and up to volunteer! Towson-area high school and college students are welcome to apply — your hours will fulfill Maryland’s service-learning graduation requirements. As a volunteer, you’ll engage with residents through a range of fun, enriching activities, such as:

  • Reading to residents
  • Calling bingo numbers
  • Assisting with art classes
  • Playing cards or other games with residents

PETS ON WHEELS

We welcome volunteers from Pets on Wheels and Therapy Pets Unlimited at Edenwald. All pets must first be approved by Pets on Wheels or Therapy Pets Unlimited. Certification and health records must be submitted prior to visiting our residents.
