Southerly Place is specifically designed for residents who want the independence of a private apartment but need some assistance with the daily activities of living. Assisted living includes all the amenities of independent living, plus first-class medical care and services.

Medical care
- Licensed nurse and nursing assistants always on site
- Nurse practitioner on staff five days a week
- On-site services including internal medicine, audiology, psychiatry, dentistry, podiatry, ophthalmology, cardiology and physical, occupational and speech therapy
- 24-hour medication and treatment administration
- Nightly health care staff visits, if desired
- Full-time, licensed clinical social worker on staff
- Emergency call system in each resident room
- Emergency medical pendants are available
- Assistance with bathing and dressing
- Three meals and snacks served daily in the assisted living dining room
- Dietary consultations available when needed and upon request
- Comprehensive nursing care, specialized comprehensive nursing care and assisted living for memory care, if needed in the future, are included in the assisted living monthly fee

- 24-hour security and reception services
- Maintenance and upkeep of apartments, community areas and grounds
- Housekeeping service twice weekly and trashcans emptied daily
- Laundry service, including flat linens, provided weekly
- Seasonal cleaning twice a year
- Bed-making available upon request
- Washer and dryer on each floor if residents prefer to do their own laundry
- Transportation assistance to and from the assisted living dining room, mailboxes and beauty salon
- Transportation provided for group activities and shopping trips
